Umm they train you at driving

I think what you meant was conversion - and that's just a competency test. Everyone at my Office (pre DM) who was down to it was as nervous as anything, however ALL of them said afterwards it was an easy 40 minute drive round the local area with the examiner chatting away. Its nothing like a driving test they just want to make sure you are safe and confident.

Well I learned to stall at traffic lights, mount kerbs, miss gears, brake excessively and eventually fail the assessment with a big smile on my face

Don't be a driver its a mugs game mate. Saying that if its for the revision, then if you want to keep your job probably best to pass.

ha! sounds like you drive like my missus, i don't have a clue what happens after the training, just told me and the rest of the new guys are due for driver training monday morning..
