If you are sacked for example for stealing from royal mail but not prosecuted for this you would be put on this register.Dont know if this applies to all large uk companies.I suppose it is to verify that you are an honest applicant. This is what I understand it to be from reading up on the internet. It does sound a bit Big Brother.I wonder if you go on this if you are a Union firebrand as well

this practice has been deemed to be unlawful as it black listed people and was in contravention of the human rights act

the record breakers presenter Norris McWhirter ran this organisation (economic league)

he was very right wing, , kept a database of 22,000 (!!!) British 'subversives' (ie if you moved in any kind of left wing circles you were on it). he Ran it to find out if prospective employees might be 'subversive' . if you were on it, the employer wrote a cheque to Norris, and he stopped you getting your job. That's 22,000 people whose lives were potentially ruined by Norris and his brother.

Fortunately the database was in card form, and got torched by someone slightly more enlightened.

The league's running cost was funded by contributions from various companies

Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

Any assumed breach of Mail Integrity (wilful delay and theft) will result in your immediate removal from site and your placement terminated. This will usually be with the involvement of Corporate Security and will result in you being placed on the Recruitment Risk Register (RRR), where proven Royal Mail will also prosecute individuals.

I give consent for Royal Mail Group to carry out Criminal Record, Recruitment Risk Register, and previous Royal Mail Group employment checks as required for the position applied for.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

then the recruitment risk register is just for royal mail incase the data subject applies again to royal mail in the future for employment

they cannot sell that data to any third party organisation or allow your data to be transmitted to anybody/company outside royal mail group without your consent

the recruitment risk register is just for royal mail

problem with that is there is no way to prove that other companies can get hold of your details on this.

How would the Sex Offenders register be different?

Simple people on the sex offender list can apply for their names to be removed using the Human Rights act, people on a "Black List" can't.

Also Black Lists are discriminatory because they were used to deny people employment based on their political actions and Union activism. A persons name being entered on the Sex Offenders Register is decided by a court of law and being found guilty of a crime.

Lastly the "Black Lists" were available to anyone who paid enough money. Access to the Sex Offenders list is limited and controlled by Acts of Parliament, and unauthorised use is punishable in law.

Sorry I thought it was more known within RMG. Yes the RRR is purely for Royal Mails benefit but my question is what if you were sacked for other than stealing/mail integrity?

Wonder what the red lines are!

I did hear that people stay on it for 25 years.
