The days of early finishes over after the revision

I have only finished before my time once since the revision started, and I was made to sort on the primary for 10 minutes until my contracted time was up. Speaking to others in my DO, anyone who finishes their duty before the contracted hours has been made to do something in the DO until their finish time. Jesus, this was one of the perks of the job, being able to finish early on a light day. Anyone else in an office that has been through the revision, and the managers make them stay and work to their time when they come back early ?

The management at our office would never try that, as they know that all the runners and bag carriers would revert to using their trollies as there would be no incentive for them to rush.

Had this out with our Dom.
He is convinced our revision is working great, until i pointed out that 90% of the office come in early, and refuse their M/R's.

The flyers in our office started coming in even earlier to beat our revision, they already use their cars and some are off home by 12.00. Now they are looking to cut a few MORE duties

Personally i seldom finish early, mostly i go over and booked an hour today finishing at 14.40. So any extra wont effect my working day as ive got well used to staying to my time and them some.

In our office which has yet to get its revision they are finally implementing working to your time! No more job & knock here and meals are at last being taken by all.
What makes me laugh is I am getting back at roughly the time I always have (always taking breaks, coming in on time etc). But these "runners" are complaining that I am arriving back late and where was I. Forgetting of course that before these changes they were already at home long before I got back!

Be very carfeul if you ever put that into practice, especially if cutting off the duty. Managers would raise the noose-ended rope around your neck.

we have not had a revision yet, but I dread it as we do OT most days, don't know how we will do it, gone are the days of early finish, when post was heavier , don't know why we take sooooo long now, must be totally knackered, RM keep proving the post has gone down, seen the graphs. but we do deliver to more properties, 250 10yrs ago, now 700 on average!!!!!!
Must work harder, to give the higher up their bonuses, shame bout our shares

They tried it at our place getting people to work till their time when we started our revision a year ago but found that nobody wanted to do docket so they knocked it on the head

That's the very reason I'm looking forward to it.

A lot of duties are plain daft, no chance of doing it on time. When they bolt together two of these, plus add all parcels and specials, they'll have to take out hundreds of houses to enable us to it. Plus they'll have to allow time to return to the office, which they don't now.

Yep it isnt working in our office, they have fazed it in over the last 6 months and now the whole office is on p@l, it all depends on what time you get out the door, they were telling us before it started we wouyld be getting our at 9.30, not a chance its more like 10.30 which means cutting off, and when you get back noone has taken the cut off and you have to take it the following day is this legal??.

Lets just say I will adjust my speed throughout the round to make sure that I never finish before my cutt-off time.
