Time Off For National Level Sports

Hi,

I was just wondering whether anyone knows if there are any policies concerning members of staff getting time off to compete at a national level in a given sport, or if it is just down to local managers agreeing it.

The manager has never heard of it, any advice appriciated. Thanks

I know they use to release people and sometimes sponsor them but that was many years ago. Maybe worth phoning HR as I don't think the manager would know as their National Sport is seeing how quick they can get the kettle to boil.

In this case I would most definitely email Moya or the marketing department. If someone is good enough to play at national level in any sport then it would be a massive opportunity to raise the profile of the company - they may even wish to help out on sponsorship or travel etc.

They'll probably appear in the Courier as well,a two page special or something.
