2nd Week and put on new walk without being shown round.
4 bags and started at 10.20. Picked up 4th bag about 3pm and then started to lose it as the roads didn't follow my nose.
At 4.30 I had had enough and took half the bag back to office and put back on frame shelf. I'm only paid to 1.30 and I was starting to make mistakes and dying for a slash and some water.
I don't no if i'l be sacked tomorrow or what but the reason I was so slow was be the because the roads were unfamiliar and my rhythm died. I'm hoping they can put what i left into tomorrows round but i feel so depressed i've just lit up a fag and I've been off for 3 years.

Don't beat youself up, jag45. You should not have been put in this position to start with.
When you get into work tomorrow morning find out who the Work Place Coach is and explain what happened.
If your office doesn't have one or if he's off for the day then ask the union rep for support but don't allow your manager to bully you.

Well if that walk is gonna be permanent - study the roads on google maps - down to street view and start memorising house no.s etcs

Can u not carry an A to Z or map app on your phone?
I use the a to z for 5 mins at the fiiting before i bag up a new round..... it saves ages out on the street.

Whenever you are put on an unfamiliar deliveryroute get the manager to print off a map from google which will clearly show the route you should take - better still if you've had a revision they should be able to print off the exact delivery.
