Holiday pay at the end of temp contract.

My 1 year temp P/T contract runs out at the end of June.

I have booked most of my hols for July and Aug for kids school hols and although the manager banged on about seniority and my chances of getting them were low, they have all been passed (made me wonder at the time if the managers knew somthing i didn't )

Since then we have been told that we are having the revision and 40 - 60 people are to be moved/made redundant/etc.

Being the positive thinking optimist that i am I'm assuming that This postie is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is job centre ! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of job, rests in peace! If they hadn't nailed 'im to fitting 'e'd be pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the walk! 'E's kicked the york, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal pouch, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-POSTIE!!

SO....... if i get finished before or at the end of June do I get paid any outstanding holiday pay ?

Its a very big office. The union has quoted these figures however I believe there to be a degree of scaremongering on both sides. When the numbers turn out to be not so high, both sides can claim the high ground - but on the last in first out basis, there only has to be 5 of the 60 job losses and i'm toast. its a shame - i love the job.
