would have thought you can transfer it to another fund if you want.

i was dismissed but stoped my pension beofr 2 years of contributions.

I believe that if you leave before paying in for 2 years you can get all your contributions back (not the percentage paid by your employer though)

If you have been paying in for over 2 years all you can do is freeze it of transfer it. Transfering it usually isn't worth it as there will deductions made for administration and this will very much reduce it's worth!

Also be aware that any return of contributions for membership under 2 years is subject to quite a heavy tax deduction. Reason being you were getting tax relief on the contributions when they were made.
