Working in Pairs

So after the revision, most posties are paired up. This kinda loses an appeal of the job IMO, the freedom of being out on your own. With a partner your kinda dependant on someone else somewhat, for finish times and the like.

So anyway a quick poll for people who have had the revision.

Do you like having a partner or did you prefer it when you were out on your own

I get on well with my partner, so it's not really an issue. The problem is P&L has made the job harder and less enjoyable.

Get on great with my partner and while he is off this week our Lineo has found me decent replacements each day - no problem - I used to dread losing my independance, but a van and a friendly face make the now larger duties more bearable

Working in pairs is never going to work because you never finish your loops at the same time.
One loop could be heavy with packets or recordeds and the other not.
Some come in early and some start at their proper start time
Some have meal relief some not
RM expect you to use your own mobile.....yer right

have to agree
realisticaly the duties need shortened to allow fro lost time
obviously thats not happening
the duties in our DOs that work on P&L are the ones that are shorter

I'm leave reserve so get a new partner every week i get on with most people in office but some would do my head in if i had to work with them every week!

As for P&L itself i prefer the new working conditions especially not having to carry bags anymore.

Part of me looks forward to working with someone, but it depends who it is, I once worked with a REALLY SMELLY PERSON, I would not want that he really stank,but if they are ok and nice, worked well together I would not be bothered
