SPDO'S

Thought I'd ask on here if anyone else who works in a SPDO office has had any revisions done.When we ask our DOM what is happening to us we were told we already do 7:15 to 3:15 hours and have no room for extra vans or HCT's so he doubts no changes will be coming in - something I find hard to believe.Is there anybody on here who can let me know what the likely plans are for SPDO's as Im sure royal mail have their own special plans for us!!!!

SPDOs lag behind in the revision process, but it will surely catch up with them eventually.
Also there is said to be a review of all the SPDOs taking place through 2012, with many of them likely to close in 2013.

move the spdo to a super delivery office then give them van ,oh you could do a collection on the way back to

I think it's doubtful SPDO's have a long term future in Royal Mail.
Mergers will be one possible solution but travelling distances are always going to be an issue,another could be sorting the mail elsewhere and simply dropping it off to part-time owner/drivers to deliver.

Or, an office manned by two or three and mail collected by the villagers. No deliveries to the door.
