CWU certificate

I today found on my frame a certificate from the CWU for having been a union member for 25 years.
I have to wonder who on earth came up with this idea and can i have some of what they were on?(the answers probably a lot more money than me).

Just be thankful that Billy was hungry and brought with him a little mid-morning snack-sized Black Pudding with him.
Or that photo could have been a whole lot worse !
