Over two years ago transferred into my local office,going from full-time to 32.5 hours part-time.When I moved managers at my old office said there's a revision coming at your new office soon and if you want to go back to full-time you'll be able to,as I had 12 years service at that time.
Now the revision is upon us and I'm told that doesn't apply.Even worse the manager is saying that all part-timers will have to be floats.So I could end up covering someone 12 years less service than me-great!
I've read that part-timers can claim discrimination if unfairly treated and this sounds like such a case.Surely full-time staff could be floats as well?
This is doing my head in so anyone been down this road or has any advice it will be much appreciated.

You getting a full time job is not down to your old manager or your new one,if there is a full time job available during the repick and you are the senior part timer then you would get 1st pick.

The breakdown of full or part time duties would be dependent on what the revision has thrown up as to the make up of duties within the office. If a full time vacncy exists and you are the senior part timer then you should have first choice.............but..............
