well, we haved moved to the later starts, and nothing changes, no more than usual of the walk-sequencing, the same amount of mail to sort, ditto packets, oh, we did get an extra van.... it came with nothing and left with nothing, I can really see why we had to move to seven-three, doh!!!!!!

I don't get why RM are so keen on later starts. We get our first wave at 5am and second at 7am (manual and sequenced) and yet they want us to start at 7am with 7.45 on tue and sat. Wtf is the point in that

I second that my days of getting up at 3.40am are gone.

I agree. I would be quite happy with a 7am start, but the vast majority of my office do not feel the same. It is just odd that they are pushing for later starts in all these revisions when in a lot of cases there is no need for them and all it does is piss everyone off (posties and customers).

well, the only change, is the buddy bundle, is not coming in at half six, it,s now coming in at 8.45am walk-sequenced, so that is why we have moved to 7am-3pm, god give me strength!!!

What's a "buddy bundle" ?

The letters for 2 walks bundled together - like best buddies. Sometimes they come in buddy trays.
Apparently it needs less plans in the MC - whatever that means.
Anyway sequencing means buddy trays are a thing of the past.

I don't mind waking up at 6am

but dislike

7am start as there is lot of trafiic at 6.45am compared to almost clear road at a 5.45am
3pm finish as there is too much traffic around the estate finding it difficult to park on the drive at home (especially when my mom's car not in the garage)

and

longer hours on Saturday. Apart from that it is fine.

I am p/t and start everyday at 9.20 ish even Saturday and I love it, since park and loop came in people moan they don't get their post early I just tell them to complain to management. I would hate to go back to 5am starts. The family life has improved massively now I a fit in with their schedules.
