Container Fills

We are currently in the middle of a Revision and my rep is trying to find out what the correct ACF's are and to which level in the trays these are counted for Manual Large Letters and Manual Large DSA.

Any help would be great thanks in advance

I counted ACFs before christmas, DSA was around 200 per tray and normal letters around 250, RM will tell you they average around 157

the problem we have
is that many of the flat boxes have loads of letters in them
letters that arent being recorded
which leaves to IPS men on letters being accused of being to slow
even though they have sorted twice hte recorded figures
this has been happening for years
and despite protests. no improvement.
Also we find the boxes containing walk sequence mail are packed very tight
wonder if the figures for these are accurate
doubt it
you cant trust them

It would be best to ask your local Work Load Assessment manager, incidentally ACF is what it says "average container fill" these figures are national figures and cannot be changed locally.

You do have a local figure! it won't be right but thats another story.

The mixed trays of letters and flats are probably those sorted on the TOPS2000 machine in the MC so the traffic will be recorded accuratly. Same goes for sequenced mail. How much mail in a tray is irrelevent for machine sorted mail as it counts how much mail goes through the machine to each selection not number of trays.
