Re: Iliotibial Band Syndrome
I suffered from that a few years ago but not as a direct result from being a postie. A few simple stretching exercises sorted it out without too many problems.

A lot in my office complaining of Plantar Fasciitis. Only 1 had treatment so far, hes had injections in his feet and RM paid for physio.
I'm sure a lot of people will suffer under P & L either with ITBS, PF or other back/lower limb injuries.

Long shot!! Your message is many years ago and also not a lot on this condition from either Royal Mail or chat lines. Have just diagnosed with this recently and hurts plenty. Blurb says it mostly afflicts pro athletes and long distance hikers but I do neither so I know it's been caused by work.

Re: Iliotibial Band Syndrome
I suffered from this a couple of years ago before becoming a postman. Caused by long distance running. Tried everything, but the only cure that worked was to stop exercising completely for around 2 weeks.
Also bought a foam roller (torture device) from Argos which gave some relief.

But just been informed following an MRI that it's not ITB syndrome but degenerative disc disease which is catching a nerve which then goes down my side and left leg. Painful! Not sure where I'm going go from here?
