Can a manager come to your home on the 2nd day of absence,even if you have informed them you wont be in?

There are many reasons you may not be in when off sick, doctors appointments, hospital appointments, picking up prescription. Just because you are off sick doesn't mean you have to stay home.

Have you contacted the manager on day 2 of absence to say that you would be off? As long as you make contact everyday, then you're doing what ur meant to do.

Even if he turns up at the door unannounced, you do not need to invite him in even if you are home, although contact is a good idea. I don't see why any manager would turn up at your door when your off sick if you've previously told him that you have a doctors appointment (for example) on that day

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
