OTHER COURIERS

I know similar threads have apeard on hear before,I Find it so frustrating dealing with other Courier Companies that offer a very poor Customer Service.

If RM had Clever Managers they should be wiping the floor with other Couriers,as so few of them offer a decent service,possibly UKMail is a exception.

I constly see packages from Couriers ,thrown over gates left on a door step in busy streets in big boxes in full view.

Got home today to find a card from DPD ,tried to deliver and I was out .

I know have some options
1,stay in all day friday and wait for Courier between 9 -5
2,arrange delivery to another house only in my street for £10 +vat charge
3arrange a delivery for a different day for £10 +vat charge
4 collect from local depot 40miles(trust me I do not live in the middle of nowwhere just the opposite in fact)
5,free of charge they will deliver it to a unsecure place at my home free of charge ,but except no liability if it goes missing!

They do not work SAT either.

RM should be letting Companies know what a superior service they can offer clients,
You think if RM ,had delivered the Package and 739 it the delivery options I would have ,The options from RM are Far Greater than DPD.

DPD are actually one of the better couriers in my experience. They give you a 1 hour time slot where they will make the delivery so you don't have to wait in all day. They do saturday delivery as well, but like all couriers charge a premium for it.

would be interesting to see if the big firms gave you an option to have who you want deliver the item, after loads of stuff going missing then i know who i would choose

Royal Mail probably do tell the companies this... but they'll go for the cheaper quote!

yes but if it was left to the buyer to choose the courier , i have stopped buying from some online stores because either the delivery went missing! or they do not use RM, i made them aware of the reasons, they may change there mind who knows

They may do eventually if complaints get too high, but by then they'll have had the service they've wanted for the price they were prepared to pay and then the whole thing starts again. Royal Mail aren't allowed to go back and undercut someone. They have a price and that's it.

just refuse any of the re-delivery options on offer if they cost you more money or if it is not convenient fr you to accept. Then ask the sender to re-send the item by RM and if they don't ask for your money back.
