Telephone interview to become a postie
Hi, I'm new here and hope I have posted this in the correct place. I have been given a number to call in regards to applying for a job as a postie, which I have been told it will be a phone interview before going in for an interview. Any advice on what to expect on the phone interview would be much appreciated.

YOU have to call RM!! the cheeky buggers... wouldn't surprise me if it were a premium rate line!
No idea what they ask as when I joined there were tests and face to face interviews etc and working for RM was a respectable job.

Would you be flexible, working over, if necessary ?
That sort of thing.
Common sense the answers they're after, probably no trick questions.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

If they was to be truefull about the questions - they would go something like this......
How would you feel about being bullied and harrased into completing unmanageable workloads on a regular basis?
Could you handle being lied to by management?
How would you feel if we started a witch
hunt against you?
Items of mail go missing, how would you feel if we made you the scapegoat?
Our buisness is about dignity and respect, how would you feel about us not respecting you?
