got my manager to get me 3 more short sleeved shirts today and was told I couldnt have any because we are only allowed 5 shirts in 2 years.
So each shirt now has to last 100 weeks(each shirt used once a week )
and then washed 100 times after each use for 2 years.
three of my shirts have ripped pockets due to the weight of the pda's plus taking them in and out.
I explained I dont wear long sleeved shirts or trousers only shorts and short sleeved shirts but to no avail.
Perhaps I can order long sleeve shirts and cut the sleeves off
All the manager has to do is authorise your order, if you need new uniform then they should order it (have a word with your uniform champion and get them to order it).
ps. I wouldn't be putting the PDA in you pocket, either in your pouch or in the special holder thingy for them.

Bags are normally too crammed to get the pda in there.
Pda holder whats that??
RM uniform policy is a total joke especially for delivery staff who are obviously going to go through more uniform than someone "working" in a MC.
I had the same hassle trying to get polo shirts the other week after speaking to 2nd lino she gave me 2 new shirts out of office and ordered me some more i now have more than enough

Then there's too much in your bag.............leave tracked/specials/recorded behind in the van and then go back and do them from the van.
PDA holder is like a webbing pouch that you wear and the PDA fits into it, I have one in the van but have never used it.

not feasable to do that as on some of our loops you cant get to the houses by van on the estates to do tracked/specials/recorded

You are allowed five shirts in total every 2 years, not five of each type. You are allowed three pairs of trousers/shorts every 2 years as well. Even if you have already ordered the maximum your manager can easily authorise more.
Eastie your manager is talking s**t,and so is the uniform peeps if they have said the same.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I rang up the helpline and they said I couldnt have them, my Dom had ordered them 6 weeks ago.
My shirts I wear at the moment used to be blue, they look a lovely pale blue colour now with pockets hanging off where the stitching has gone

Time to stir then.

I've been refused uniform as well, even after passing the phone to a lino for authorisation, I was told 2 years for all uniform, I pair of shoes and boots per year.
And the public wonder why postman always look scruffy.
