Sickness Policy

Has anyone got a copy of any RM polices relating to sickness.

I phoned in sick this morning as I have the flu good enough head back to bed, but when I got out of bed this morning there is a letter already there wanting me in for an interview with managers on Thursday morning to discuss my sickness.

Not on any stage of the process at the moment, but what is happening within RM can they do this and if so what are the CWU doing about it, is it even legal?
Treatening me with deduction of pay if I do not attend.

Is this invite to a meeting at the depot? If so, are you fit to attend?

yes the meeting is due to take place at my local delivery office, do not know how I will be feeling on Thursday morning so do not know if I will be attending or not.

Do I have to attend - I thought that sick certificates stopped this type of thing happening.

Are the managers qualified doctors now or is it just scare tactics.

I have not been referred to Atos

phone in, tell dom/lino you are too unwell to come in for the interview, and you will either attend when you are well enough or you will return to work when you are expected to be better. they cant do anything about it for the first week or ten days. end of.

This could be construed as harassment. Ask your rep to help. your Dom needs a reality check!
