Missort run
Who does your missort run in your office and how is it allocated? They want to rotate it between all the drivers in our office meaning we will be around 30 mins behind if you do the missort run!! Doesn't seem fair when none drivers won't have to do it!

I do it in my office and alternate with a nearby DO. My duty does 3 days (one is my rest day) and they do the other 3. There are 5 drivers in my office and I'm the only missort driver. A Wednesday with the run up is a guaranteed late finish for me.
I staged a Roger Moore impersonator festival in my local village. There were a lot of eyebrows raised, I can tell you.

How? The other 4 drivers are out doing packets while I'm on the run, which takes nearly two hours round-trip. When I get back at 9 I then have the rest of my walk to throw off, my van to load and then my full duty to do. The other 4 drivers have generally delivered 90% of their work by the time we finally go out. my office has a designated driver for the m/s run, as a result has a lighter round to accommodate for this (only covering a few walks packets) - on the days he doesn't do it (as its share with another office), he gets most/all the packets done before 9, and just has residential left to do. the driver has no sorting work, as the work gets sorted by other drivers.

We don't have a missort run anymore. When we did the delivery duty it was attached to was shorter to allow for getting out later.
