Payment after revisions have gone through

Ok I have been told by my DOM that once the revisions are complete everyone in the DO will get a £600 then another £200 (I think) pro rata payment. The revisions should go through in a few months. Thing is I will be starting a new job in June (RM do not know this yet) so will I have to pay back this payment if I leave RM a couple of months after getting it ? or is this payment just for being silly enough to still stay with RM while they screwed about with routes, and work practices, a sort of "you still want to work for us after all that, you deserve an award, heres £800 :D"

Don't hold your breath though these things can drag out.

I was told the revision should be done in a couple of months, but as you say, I doubt it will, as I reckon they are not very good at keeping to schedules !!

If you are working in the office at the time the revision is deployed you should get the payment. When we did our first revision we didn't get the payment for about 8 months and a number of staff had retired/left in that time. They all got the money (eventually).

Well at the moment the new fittings are in place on the primary, and the routes are being planed. So does this mean if I left tomorrow I would still get payed, since the revision technically began when the DO was revamped ?

No. It should be based on the deployment date given in the revision agreement signed off by your rep and dom. This document should also include details of when the payments will be made.

This is all sorted at the Concurrance meeting, what the Revision is, what payments are payable and when, and the EXPECTED date of uplift

We've got a guy who's due to retire soon, who has to pick a duty in the re-sign.

If the resign is done and dusted and we start our new duties, but don't get the lump sum payments in our wages before he retires, what chance is there that RM will still pay him his payment when he is no longer on the payroll ? He'd be entitled to the money, as he'll be in post when the revision goes 'live'

If he's 65 he can stay on for as long as it takes to get the money then leave

About the only good thing about our revision was that they were fairly on the ball as regards paying the money - it was only about two weeks late IIRC.

All our revisions have been completed and signed off and we've been told our payments won't be until December 2012 "If at all" according to our DOM. Once again we are doing everything for nothing and our CWU rep just laughs at you when you ask him what's going on!!!!
