Recruitment process for Postie: 4 promotion as manager ?

Can someone explain the process in practice. I dun want work my royal ass off errday. One day i would also like to get paid just by standing and chatting with other managers in the office & pretending to be working.lol

Like , number of years ( work experience) as postie Is required ?
Do they need qualifications ? Even if u have work experience as postie ?
Where to look for them jobs ?

You would need to become a managers assistant or buddy. This is where you cover the managers day off and sickness. So you become a manager for a day then back amongst your colleagues. Nice.

Of course the idea is that you kiss arse and are made up to a manager but this seldom happens.

Internal jobs listed (lists) a deputy managers role you deputise when required and get paid pro/rata for those days, then returning to your parent DO and role, prove yourself and options become avaliable.

But you have to be careful on this ... its like a tightrope across the grand canyon, the end goal is to get across - you have to be well poised and fairly swift in somecases...but go too qquick you fall off So in restrospect, if you act like a douche accidently to the manager like your the manager - well your OUTTA HERE!

A lad at our office has been in less than a year and he's passed the Deputy Managers assessment/Interview so time is not an issue.
No qualifications required, look on the RM internet site periodically or your noticeboard, alternatively ask your own manager if there are any roles coming up.
