New Agreement reached?
Managers in my office have been pouring over a new agreement on BSI and model week traffic. Has the CWU now reached an agreement and if so why are we the bloody last to find out again!!!!?

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Your usually spot on FT, so I must not be reading between the lines properly.. BSI etc? how does that square with the latest relevant LTB? Its not as if I am surprised because I dont trust the union above local rep level and coincidently my revision is set at 100 BSI and the saddest thing is it looks like the majority of staff are willing to work anything between 30 to 60 mins for nothing on most days of the week and ignore the usual health and safety suspects rather than confront royal mail or the CWU...as for union membership that has dropped to well under 50%fishtank wrote:BSI "info" is in there.POSTMAN wrote:We're still waiting on BSI info but the new model week docs are here...

My take on it is this Dan....
The default setting for the IWT is and always has been 100BSI...it still is.
This will give you your top line.
It will then be up to reps to argue/negotiate...just how big a step towards that top line an office can take in one go.
There is no actual positional change to when the agreement was originally reached...i suppose at least it's in writing now.
They have basically taken 8 months of negotiations.....to write it down.

Royal Mail's target is 100BSI..we can not talk about it or whatever but it is.
The only way you can scope this opportunity is to have a "top line"...a perfect 10...100BSI.When a delivery revision is being undertaken the potential indoor efficiency opportunity will be jointly identified at phase 2 of the revision process using the IWT
So first of all you have your current performance....say for arguments sake it's 80BSI.
What you now have to do is negotiate what would be a reasonable step from 80 to 100 without destroying the office,perhaps it might be 90 or maybe only 85...maybe your office can make the jump in one go who knows?
So the original IWT default position...let's call it..."formally known as" will set your target and you will negotiate how to get there....one step,two steps,ten steps however many it takes.
This is my take on it.it's vague enough to have more than one take and i'm sure some areas will make the most of that and some will get screwed over.

I’ve read the so-called documents & I know I’m just a mere mortal but what I want to know is;
Who over sees the figures that RM are imputing?
We’ve had our revision & most of us are going by the times we’ve had set to do the IPS, however we are often called back to do more plus every so often 6 or so posties are called in to do O/T on nights which were originally taken away.
With this being the case, should these extra figures be inputted or are the dims manipulating them therefore to actually judge what time is needed indoors without these (shall we call them extras) shows a true reflection of the overall required hours that are needed or dare I say it
