hi guys just need some help off you all if you can?

just been on the royal mail web site just seen a postman job on line it says 25 hour aweek 3month fixed term temp jobs would royal mail kep me on after this time? also why does royalmail only give temp contract? many thanks steve

One of the reasons is so they can get rid of you easily when you've served your purpose

Sorry mate but its impossible to answer as there are far too many variables, both locally and nationally to give you a definite answer. But yes they do seem to keep people on after, but normally by extending the contract not by giving permanent contracts.

Mainly because they are changing how we deliver mail, which ultimately means they think they need less people to do the job.

The likelyhood is that there's a good chance of being kept on longer and also of making hours up with overtime working - no guarantee though.
