Help please
[*]A small vacant duty resign ,,,,,i have been near 10 years ftime in royal mail. ONce again I've no chance of my own duty as people with there own duties at present move onto the handful of vacant duties in resign. THe duties they come off of then become vacant but no resign with them ,I will never get a ftime duty of my own so seriously thinking of having my own part time duty. 1once yore part time can you not go back to full time in future? 2 .IS it a big drop in wages? 3. Any thoughts on this query anyone?

Did you type that on your phone whilst walking by any chance. 
Personally I would not give up a full time post for a part time one unless I could afford the drop in money. I think PT in our office is around £200 take home with allowances etc. Prob less elsewhere.
Having your own delivery is not all that is cracked up to be. Iam about 15 from the top in seniority in my office and are often in the last 5 finishing. The only reason i am on here at this time now is that it’s a day off. Wed’s I did not get home till gone 4pm from a 6am start.
If you want to go part time inquire about the buy down of hours scheme which they used to run. You should get a lump sum one off payment for going part time, if its still running that is.

Spood,your office is a s**t whole,you're working with c***s and your rep is a cock,anyway moving on,said rep should really insure the domino effect of the resign carries on and the other duties be available to be signed for.

A very small resign of vacant duties should be only for ppl who have seniority and never had there own duty.
THe guys who have loads seniority 15 yrs plus jump back n forth to duties ,and with the cutting of duties to part time from full time means some guys with 10 yrs plus will never get a chance,it's a f,,,in joke .

That makes no sense. If a full timer with a permanent duty, though not a good one, was disbarred from moving to a better vacant duty in favour of someone with 10 years service where's the benefit of seniority?
