Lady walking 2 dogs today on opposite side of road starting talking to me about the bad weather when 1 dog went ballistic and started barking and dragging her...she let go of lead and the dog came straight for me!!!!I still had my bundle tied up and threw it at it's head really hard.It backed away but she started shouting at me that i hit her dog...now it was too cold to stand their and bugger about with her so i just walked on.I'm not apologizing for protecting myself...Thing is i was bitten in the same road just before xmas by a dog off its lead.It's really a cul de sac with 30 houses in..its a bloody nightmare.There are 3 houses where the dogs attack the letter box when i deliver so its a lift and throw in.It's a nice area and the dogs are not that large but its quite scary delivering there.Is there anything my dom can do if i say i dont want to deliver there anymore...Thanks

Firstly if you feel or are threatened by any dog you can refuse to deliver the mail on that day to the address (or even the street if you need to to safeguard your safety), let the DOM know asap what you have had to do....
Secondly before that situation arises (hopefully) inform the DOM of the problems you are having..... It is then his responsibility to take action by contacting the owner/ owners of the dogs to resolve the matter (may be as simple as fitting a cage on the back of the letterbox) which could ultimataly result in permanent suspension of delivery if he deems fit, but it is his responsibility to ensure your safety on delivery......
I would also inform him of today's incident, in case the woman who can't control her animal is daft enough to complain.....
Most of all don't wait to get bit like I did before you act (nasty jack russel through a letterbox!!!!!)

you could also tell your dom that you are experiencing a lot of stress every time you go to that cul de sac .The thought of you going on the sick with stress after you have warned him about how your feeling should really worry him.I hope.

My brother was in the Navy and I was in the Army, both of us on leave at Xmas, money in our pockets, time on our hands, we started drinking at lunch time, carried on through the afternoon and then the night, got into a fracas, my brother was arrested and I was ill through to the new year.
I haven't been able to stand the smell of it let alone drink it. That was almost 50 years ago!!

I was once given some poteen, when in Ireland...................................horrible, smelled dreadful and tasted worse. I don't recall ever having gin or vodka but I did like Pernod.
