P/T Late shift

Going through a re-sign, at the moment all p/t late shift collection drivers on 25 hour contract. New notice gone up saying only staff on 30 hour contracts can apply for the late shift duties as they have too many staff on 30 hour contracts all on earlies at present and they dont know what to do with them. There are only three 25 hour duties spare for twelve staff. Can they do this? Area rep seems to let management do what it pleases.

how many staff on the 25 and thirty hour get the driving allowance for starters

are they using MTSF for this duty option

dom agreed notice was wrong when I pulled him up on it, now hes decided 25 hr contract staff can pick 25 hr duties, but so can 30 hr staff and he will increase the 25hr duties to 30 hrs by getting them to work longs or shorts on tues weds and thurs. So much for cutting back. When I asked him if staff on 25 hr duties can pick 30 hr duties he said no. So it seems he is victimising the staff on 25 hr duties and looking after the staff on 30 hrs. What do you peeps think?

Sorry I dont know whos getting the driving allowance and I dont know what mtms is?

If a 25hr guy does not want to be upped to 30hrs and is quite happy to stay on 25hrs then he can't be forced to up his hrs.
DOM is potentially playing with fire and could get stuck IF your guys don't want to be upped.

A 25hr guy 'can' take a 30hr duty and have his contract upped as long as the duty is spare and no one else wants to sign for it.
