It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Do you get the extra leave in the year in which you hit 5/15/20 years or is it the following leave year? Say you hit 15 years half way through the leave year would you get all of the extra entitlement in that leave year or not until the next leave year?

Completed years only and would therefore mean you would have completed 20.5 years before you become entitled to the additional days. Looked at realistically it makes sense because you could have completed the qualifying period just weeks or days before.PhilthyPhil wrote:Do you get the extra leave in the year in which you hit 5/15/20 years or is it the following leave year? Its a bugger though when your official start date is 1 week into the leave year .dvbuk55 wrote:Completed years only and would therefore mean you would have completed 20.5 years before you become entitled to the additional days. Re: extra leave after 5 years?
Way Forward.
For part-years worked, or where the entitlement changes mid-year, the entitlement will be calculated pro-rata to the proportion(s) of the year worked, rounded to the nearest half day
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Yes I read that too but I've never known it to be applied.fishtank wrote:Way Forward.
