Do Saturday Staff Get a Vote @ Revision ?.

As the title says, do Saturday staff (on a six hour contract )still get a vote when choosing options for the office?.Or are they not counted on the strength of the office and so don't get an option?.

they will probably do a vote on a weekday so probably not but speak to your union rep but it wont make any difference to you as your on a saturday contract

Agreed but this is a vote on duty options not the full revision so what stance should a saturday only member take regarding a vote that shouldn't really affect them at all?

it could affect them in future if they have aspirations of getting more hours,

you could say the same about part timers who have no indoor work voting with same right as full time staff on duty lengths that would only affect full time staff as well, or callers office staff voting on duty lengths even though it doesnt affect them, not fair to draw the line anywhere, one person one vote regardless in my opinion

What about mon-fri staff, they would not be affected either

I'm not saying they shouldn't i'm just wondering how you would select a duty option that didn't affect you.
Go with the flow,pick it out a hat,pick something you would like if you weren't a saturday only...it's important to think about because this guy's vote could affect a lot of people..

I should point out that the majority of Saturday staff in the office are students, who during the holidays and xmas end up picking up extra hours/days. So the six hours a week is really the minimum they would work the majority of weeks during the year.
