had 30 mins ot on monday,put my old pay no down on the docket DOM said he would change it to the new one yer course he will ?

Got my new payslip today , opened it as usual and it tore in half!

I have just managed to tear the bottom off my newly designed payslip! Not impressed. Maybe I pulled a little too hard in the excitement! :left:

Anyone know why they've changed and why do we have new pay numbers?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

+ 1 for torn in half. What was wrong with the original payslips in a normal envelope? Are Royal Mail trying to achieve a new record for new ways to waste money?

cycle2work deductions are showing now in the new payslip.
I was wondering if they had forgotten to deduct it when i got my bike one year ago. no chance.

That reminds me of a tale about when I worked at another place. During a really bad winter some of the overhead gangs went down south to repair the lines. At that time ordinary blokes were paid in cash in the old style brown wage packets. Because they were away their pay was still paid in their parent unit whilst they drew expenses for lodgings and food etc in their temporary location. This particular bloke rang me to say to open his pay packet, take out half the money and post the rest through the letterbox of his house for his wife because he didn't want her to know how much he was earning :shock: Of course I couldn't do that and he was like a raging bull saying he'd have to make up stories about the amount and he'd be out of pocket.................did I mention he was Irish by the way?

I always thought they had forget to take my payments too, I rang HR to check after 12 months, they were taking them but I had no record on my payslip. I am glad they are putting them on the new slips, I am about to start my 2nd cycle2work scheme so it will be easier to keep track of the payments.

Will take me another 14 years to remember my new pay number though :arrrghhh
