A couple of fixed term contract questions

Hi,
I have a few questions, not to sure if this has been posted in the correct room

I’m currently on a 3 month rolling fixed term contract and have been for 14 months, my question is, when if ever will it be made to a permanent contract. I worry as Royal Mail is approaching possible privatisation that if it does they will get rid of me.
Ive heard rumours they have to make you permanent after 2 years of service, is this true ?

Also, I’m currently on a 33 hour contract but have been approached by another office to go there on a 37 hour contract, (this is only because i left and rejoined royal mail in 2010 and the possible 37 hour contract is at my original office)
If i go, is it possible that if i could get a 37 hour fixed term contract at another office then 6,10, 12 months down the line could they reduce my hours back down to 33 or even less.
Also if i move office do i lose my seniority

What rights do we have on a fixed term contract ?

The 2 year thing is being ignored by RM,it is now 4 years,but they are still chattin about it...

You don't lose your seniority if you move offices,as for your contract,they can change that when it needs to be renewed,whether you move offices or not.
