Advice needed re holidays

Greetings,

Can someone advice me regarding holiday allocation?

Have just picked my 2nd two weeks of holiday, with 2 weeks left to pick.

I have a week the last full week of May, but cannot book another week before the begining of October as there are no free slots, which mean I am expected to go 4 months without a week off.

I think this is unacceptable, as I am worried my health will suffer.

Is there anything I can do about this?

To be fair Midnight you've picked 4 weeks of your annual leave,you choose when to take them and if you had the basic entitlement you would only have a couple of days left anyway so i don't think you're going to get very far with the health thing.
We could have the whole lapsing summer conversation though...

To be fair Midnight you've picked 4 weeks of your annual leave,you choose when to take them and if you had the basic entitlement you would only have a couple of days left anyway so i don't think you're going to get very far with the health thing.

Do you use group holiday sheets or a whole office rota?
If you're only on week three and there's nothing left between May and October it sound like there aren't enough slots to be honest.

If you're only on week three and there's nothing left between May and October it sound like there aren't enough slots to be honest.

It could be worse, we are fighting a crazy "one FT and one PT off per section per week" situation, which has left many PT staff without leave (as there are significantly more than 12 PT in the section with the most unachievable walks). That's before you even talk about any leave carried over from this year and any extra you want to purchase...

Right now under this crazy plan, all I have booked for the 12-13 year is one week towards the very end of the financial year! Been holding my virtaul breath on this to be resolved since before Xmas, does not help that we have pending P&L and we are going through more DOMs than an underperforming Premier League football team.

Never known a company like it for foul ups with holiday booking.

When picking my last weeks leave last year, I had a choice of 1 free week.

Yes purchahsed extra 6 days, although they way things are going won't have any choice at all picking those 6 days, just like last year.

simple way of cutting your wages .. but you never actualy get to take the hols or there jsut used when they have extra staff anyway

I'm surprised in a group system that all those weeks are taken so early unless there are too many in the group.
Seven should be maximum.
There isn't much you can do other than pick something of value like the Easter break or the Christmas week and then try to play swaps with someone either in your group or another

Sadly Easter break and Christmas week already fully booked.

Am looking forward to next phone call on my day off asking me if I can work, to which I will be replying...............(fill in answers here!)
