Overtime?
I have been paid overtime a few times before as i started but not long after i would finish on time - but by the looks of things, this P&L method seems to slow everyone down ... if i was to say finish on my own set time - can i take the unfinished mail back?? and what would i do with it after i've brought it back? (After a few pleas of overtime the manager did get kind of pi##ed at me, but say if this was the case do i continue and claim overtime or just bring the remaining bulk back?)

Overtime should be confirmed by your manager before you do it.
If you decide that you do not want to work over your time and you cannot complete your delivery, you must inform your manager before starting your delivery. It will be up to management to decide what happens with the mail you cannot deliver.
Remember that overtime is not compulsory and that threats and bullying (to get you to agree to do it) are not allowed.
Have a chat with your union rep if you can and always have a witness when speaking to management.
Park and Loop was sold to us, not as a time saving delivery method, but as a way of reducing fatigue and taking weight of the shoulder and as a way of improving efficiency.
