Do RM departments talk to each other ?

As a global communications company I would have though that RM would be good at ... well ..... communicating.

This week I had my rolling contract extended to August ( first surprise 8 months instead of the normal 3) then reading on I found to my horror they had cut my hours from 39 to 28 from January 19th !

Phoned my DOM

His reaction "don't sign it, don't send it back, chuck it in the bin, you're still on 39 hrs"
Well I didn't sign it, but I didn't bin it just in case, guess what in my wage packet I'm paid for my normal 39hrs.

How do HR get away with sending this crap out, they must cause more grief for managers than any other dept in Royal Mail.

Just keep an eye on it when there is holiday and floating week off incase it drop down to 28 hours.

Course they don't talk to one another, that's a stupid question if you don't mind me saying so! It's only a communications company after all!

Keep an eye on it. It might not be HR's fault. Make sure you get the right contract signed otherwise it might cause problems at a later date.
