Advice appreciated
My line manager has tried to take me down the conduct code for a failure to do vehicle checks. Formal interview took place nearly 7 weeks ago and he has only just responded with a typed-up version of the interview for me to respond. I shall of course, but surely this is not right and a further case of grievance for me.Any advice from those in the know appreciated.

ask him for all details of vehicle checks for private cars on delivery
its their job to make sure every private car is checked and all insurance , mot , etc up to date

How does he know you didn't do the checks and were there any faults?
Also depending on the situation,isn't a clip round the ear sufficient,why do these screws want to make more work for themselves.
Not sure also whether the 7 week gap could be a get out clause for you,anyone?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

They put a clip on plastic card inside the bonnet ad you need to hand it back in to the manager to make sure your checking oil levels,,, Thats how they do checks in our DO
