Well I dont have the figures for Bognor Regis but for Royal Mail as a whole - this is for letters only

1975/1976 - 9,903,100,000

and its peak in 2005/06 20,196,000,000

the last year for figures 2009/10 16,649,000,000

so using their own calculation methods = an increase from 1975/76 to 2009/10 of 6,745,900,000 or 68%

Thanks for posting that it a very interesting site.

It does show a recent decline in volume but what is interesting is how in the 90's we were told time and time again that the mail was "dropping off", and how they lied.
