Advice needed.

part time postie and I was wanted some advice

ok so i was on a walk today and fell down some stairs and as a result I'm in a lot of pain with my back, tried to walk it off and carry on with the walk but the pain got that bad had to go back to the Do told the manager and he do the Accident report with me but i will not be able to do a walk tomorrow because due to the pain because i have not been there for a 1 year i'm not entitled to full sick pay if i take couple of days of to heal but because it happened at work am i entitled to couple of day light duty or do I have to go on the sick.

im sure he will understand a few days if its not a broken bone and pay u

but if it goes into weeks months im sure they will not pay out if thats whats in the contract, because they dont want to take sumone on for a week that ends off being sick for 6 months

i would of thought so anyway im not for sure

ive been working at RM now for 10 months but was told u have to be there for a year to get full sick pay.
I dont want weeks off just a day or two to recover would the DOM have any problems with this. also If i turn up for work tomorrow and attempt to do the work or go in and ask to be put on light duty ?

With back pain the first move I would make is a visit to the Doctor - he could give you one of these new fit notes which say what you can do.

Be careful with back, in this job they take a lot of punishment just doing the job, so any aches or pains in the back or shoulders and I'd be off to the Doctors just to make sure.
