at my office the dim has been putting a block on holidays( not already booked before) and cut the amount of people per week to be allowed off from around sept .so now there are a lot of people with holidays to take but no available space .is there any documents to say how much leave you can carry over or your entitlement to take them this tax year,also because of the amount of leave allowed each week next year is virtually full.thanks

It's supposed to be one week but the manager can allow more for 'operational' reasons, I'm carrying 4 weeks over as are a lot of others in the office.

i have 2 weeks but wanted to test the dim as there are a lot of staff with 2 weeks or more and no chance of booking all of it next year either and i want my leave

You have a holiday agreement,he can't just waltz in and change it,operational difficulties? how does he know what is happening in Sept.
Obviously you know he's having you on,rep needs to put a dissagreement in and also contact the area rep.

Obviously you know he's having you on,rep needs to put a dissagreement in and also contact the area rep.

Not an uncommon occurance, and by the time the union's gone through all the procedures towards a tribunal the leave year's finished and there's no choice but for nearly everyone to carry forward two or more weeks into the next year.

ive got 4 days to carry over,trouble at our office is weve allways had 1 weeks leave in odd days and the other 5 weeks in week offs etc,but our newish DOM is not keen on staff having a few odd days leave here and there,in other words he wants an easy life, in all my years in the job,we have allways had at least a weeks leave in ODD DAYS,do i need to contact local rep

"today" Because you, and the union, can't sort it out in a day, a week or even a month.
These's things drag on and aren't resolved before the next leave year.
