PDA & whose fault

Hi this morning our DOM was giving us an earfull because we had fails on collection due to PDA not working right.
He said the boys should've gone back out to scan them with another PDA
They had no time to even contemplate this.
How is it our fault when the equipment RM supplies FAILS not us. He now wants them to carry the old scanners as back ups.

Is there any documents on here i can fight back with?
i.e.
it's the DOM's responsibility to make sure ALL PDA's are 100%
If PDA reported dodgy that it's sorted ASAP
Do PDA's get a service?

Well PDAs are outside the responsibility of anyone in your office because we rely on an outside source to provide replacements and there is a backlog at the moment. There is also an embargo on offices that have three PDA returns outstanding, ie not returned when due and no replacements will be sent until they have been received back at the warehouse. The equipment is failing if it is over two years old in my experience. We have two full cabinets and 20 others in banks of 4, 1 cabinet and the other 20 were provided a year October gone when we went on the second round of P&L they are by and large still operational, the 1st cabinet were the originals and are now 2 and a half years old and really are crap.
