i have had 2 spells of working for royal mail and found out i can use this joint service when it comes to holidays it comes to 16 and a half years now ,
my manager has accepted this after looking into this - so i move up to 5wks 1 day ,
i have now realised that i should have had this last year as well
can i get those days back retrospectively and added on to this years holidays ?
does anyone know

I would of thought so yes,you were entitled to it and it wasn't given.

your 2 periods of service are added together automatically just phone up HR and ask them your total service-
this joint service isnt used for seniority that only starts from the the last time you joined BUT it is valid for
holidays - i have about 14 years in my current office and about 2and a half in a previous office but only get
the 14 for my seniority

chemisy you should now have your time in the other office added to you total for seniority as i belive that changed a while back
