Will you be using ANGARD again

Post by Imran 2011 »

I can safely say that I will never use Angard as an employment agency again

or should I say a "slave labour agency" again.

Angard IS Royal Mail.

There is only one share in Angard and that is owned by Royal Mail Group Limited. The directors of Angard are either Directors of Royal Mail Group Limited (including John Duncan - HR Director of Royal Mail Group Limited), Directors of other companies owned by Royal Mail Group Limited and a corporate director known as REED (the recruitment company).

No, and I wouldn't work for RM either. This experience has put me off completely. Just cannot trust them.

ok Verging, what i meant was royal mail directly, yes!

from what i've read on this site, before Angard took over casuals didn't have problems with hours or pay.

Angard were invented to cut Royal Mail wages and conditions.

I've worked Xmas for 8 years. Previously there were some problems but always sorted fairly quickly by RM pay dept in Sheffield. This year not only did we get a pay cut - about 40 quid a week - thanks to Angard, but half of us didn't get paid at all.

A complete disgrace all round. I reckon they'll keep Angard, but probably change their name as they've been an embarassment!

NEVER, nor will I ever work for ROYAL FAIL again either. The shop-floor workers are great, the Management system stinks.
In fact, next x-mas I will only send text greetings or e-cards, nothing through the post. I just wish there was an alternative mail courier as there is with parcels.
