AN APOLOGY FROM MOYA GREENE

Post by markadam1962 »

SORRY FORGOT THE QUESTION MARK!!

Actually every single one of us that worked over Christmas should receive a letter of apology from the very top. Not some brown nose lapdog whose idea of "only a few" involved 1000's. Come on Moya not as if the postage is going to cost much.

Oh you mean an automated 'sorry for any inconvenience caused' letter of apology? Not good enough

It is utterly despicable, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and morally corrupt not to PAY Christmas casuals correctly or not at all whilst Royal Mail's senior managers and directors lavish fat cat bonuses on themselves based on THE PERFORMANCE, HARD WORK AND DEDICATED COMMITMENT OF SOME 15,000 CASUAL WORKFORCE!

Their Christmas bonuses SHOULD BE WITHELD UNTIL EVERY SINGLE CASUAL WORKER IS PAID CORRECTLY! I am still owed £650.38 gross salary.
Disgraceful behaviour, incompetence and complete ineptitude on the part of ANGARD STAFFING SOLUTIONS LTD!

Already had one from Moya Greene herself and not an automated one. Have had two telephone calls, one a member her management team (Group Executive Team) standing in for John Duncan (as he was away at this time) and the other, a lady Manager of HR Resources. Was offered compensation if I had lost out, which I hadn`t as I was able to do some other work and a casual job during January which i turned down as I am working in my `proper` casual/part-time work.

As close as I got was the mail below, and still no pay despite ACAS now being involved CCJ's from those in England and Small claims court rulings from those in Scotland I think is the way forward......Id love to be able to order bailiffs to enforce it:);

Good afternoon Mr X

We are sorry that there have been some difficulties with the payroll system and we apologise that your wife has not been paid correctly.

Our temporary Christmas staff are very important to Royal Mail and we have put in a huge effort to ensuring that they are paid correctly and on time. The majority of our Christmas temporary recruits will be paid accurately through a transfer into their bank accounts.

Where this is not possible we are making huge efforts to put in place an additional payment channel. This involves staff receiving a barcoded letter which can then be exchanged at any Post Office branch for the relevant amount of outstanding cash. I am very sorry if this payment method causes any additional inconvenience.

We are committed to doing everything we can to resolving any other outstanding pay issues as soon as possible

Kind regards

Jane

Subject: Request for support from Royal Mail

Dear Mrs Greene,

I would like to start this by firstly apologising for bringing this to your attention, but I feel the need to gain understanding of the Royal Mail relationship with Angard and moral responsibility to the work force who are currently working underpaid or unpaid to ensure your SLA’s are being met.

My Wife has taken up work to assist Royal Mail at this busy time and earn some xmas money, but this has been severely marred by this elusive company who seem incapable of managing this form of outsourcing effectively or efficiently.

Now I fully understand the terms and conditions of your contract is nothing to do with me but it does seem that you are being taken for a ride somewhat, due to the considerable “bad Press” and fourth coming bad press, Royal Mails reputation as an employer is being ripped to shreds.

My Wife has not been paid a consistent wage for her hours, no wage slips and definitely no contact from Angard since starting. When called or emailed Angard do not seem capable of servicing the flood of complaints resulting from their failure to fulfil at least the contract to their employees, never mind their clients. I cannot imagine this has escaped your notice until now and I’m sure you will be looking to your teams in order to rectify the situation and save Royal Mail from this embarrassment going forward.

I am still trying to get in contact with Angard without success on any numbers for at least an explanation as to what the problems are but as no one’s talking…..well its difficult to resolve issues when only one party is interested in the conversation.

I would ask that Royal Mail step in on behalf of the people who are getting you through this period and ensure that they are recompensed fairly and in respect of the agreements made when accepting employment.

Would Royal Mail be willing to publicly commit to ensuring this is fulfilled and hold Angard to full account for what really does appear to be a chain of failures on their part?

Best regards,

X

A great letter to Moya Sir!

What sort of robot response was the letter back? Its embarrassing apart from a brief name check on "your wife" that letter was a cut and paste job. Basically "go away you annoying pleb, we're the bosses, tough luck if we messed up your Christmas". :wave

Yeah Last email I sent a little less Polite advising after the agreement to pay 90 hours they only paid 45 and then a second time did the same so I finally blew it and sent an email from my phone outside the bank with my wife advising in short " Your incompetence is staggering. This is utterly contemptible flaunting of basic employment and contract law is totally unacceptable I have sent in writing formal notice that you have 14 days to pay in full all outstanding amounts due or further action will be take in the form Industrial tribunal followed by Small claims court action".

Still haven’t been paid and ACAS have the application for tribunal and are speaking to Collette Davis in the legal team at Angard, who STILL have not paid....ACAS are full of hope....I’m not. At the end of this week I will formally file for small claims court.

Moya Greene prefers to be addressed as Ms Greene - not Mrs Greene - afaik she is not married, not that it matters anyway.

What the hell does it matter? Is she a trumped up, self-serving, posturing "bury your head in the sand" person who lives in DENIAL?
Ms/Mrs/Miss...etc etc etc etc ! IS SHE LISTENING? Is she going to compensate casuals for all the distress caused?

The interest on unpaid wages for 18,000 workers will be enough to buy a house with. Ask her where this money goes.
