New boss

I have not really felt the need to post for a while and maybe that needs a post in itself.

We have (office union) at our DO been involved in quite a battle with the managment at our DO for a fair few years. The tactics that have been used have been echoed by others on these forums many times. We have tried our best to support and stick up for our members as much as we could while the bullets flew overhead, but we feared we were ultimatley losing. The revsion we had brought the worst out of managers and it became worse than ever. All this time we wrote our disagreements and grievences while fearing the worst.

It appears maybe, just maybe RM was listening. Without saying too much our DO eventually became on "so many radars" that something had to be done, we had a V swift change of managment

I just want to say that we have a DOM now that considers the staff and discusses damn near everythign with us and appears to even respect our input. This isnt a windup.

The point of this message is to say to those that are still involved in those dreadfull day to day battles to not give up, you never know. When it happened i really couldnt believe it and some are even in a sort of nervous denial still, but keep your chinns up and keep plugging away, good will win is my experience.

Turning once again to our own situation i have worked for RM for too long to think i have reached Nirvana, but damn its good at the minute and thats as good as it comes sometimes.

A huge thankyou to all who had advised me and to RMC (at times the only support i needed).

That's just what we need, we have 2 youngsters who once were same as us , now our bl**dy managers, ordering us to work faster when they only ever worked with the old delivery methods (out at 6:30 ,back at 9 , dinner hour then tiny 2nd del.) They couldn't cope with todays delivery methods .
I wish they would try and do a full delivery of 1600 calls on p&l and finish on time . They'd be crying .
Experienced hard working managers who have earned their promotion is what the company needs , not youngsters taught in a classroom ! Timing our every move, "do these 2 extra ips trays, now do some packets" we all used to muck in and have a laugh at the same time , even the old managers walksorted. RIP royal mail , it was good , now it is slavery.
ps, cant wait for the "have your say" sesh , or the new survey thing that is coming in April.

Apparently!!! I have been contacted for a "good will" story to help convince all readers that RM are the new Messiah's.

Like i said the point of the post was to try and give those still in a day to day fight a little hope.

i would love to say, but quite frankly to say where im from on a national forum would be plain stupid. People have been hurt and humiliated during this and to twist the knife would be wrong. As well as this there are those who benefitted from the previous leaders rein (i am sure you know the sort) who are anything but happy and would love me to breach some sort of confidentiality policy and have me and others strung from the highest yard arm.
