i have a new phone coming at the care of yodel, next day delivery.
does anybody know what sort of practices the use ie doorstepping?

or what time of day they deliver?

We had a parcel that they left in our porch. The only problem was we don't have a porch.
Another time they doorstepped a package, left the box propped up against the door, in the rain, in full view of the street.
The usual is they ring your doorbell and run.

Phones usually have to be signed for so they usually knock and wait for me, but then they have to drive past my window so I always see them (when I'm not out working anyway ).

As it's a phone, I guess they'll need a signature.

They could turn up at anytime of day or early evening. If no one's at home then you'll get one of their 'uninformative' cards.

You have more luck getting them to find you on delivery than your DO

On the mainland it isn't necessary to camouflage DOs or site them in bomb-proof bunkers.
In fact they're quite easy to find, even for Yodel drivers - well - almost.

there is a packet from yodel lying at a customers house of mine, been there for about 7-8 days now. thought about moving it safer place but decided to not touch it atall. it's a mess too

well all of this is filling me with confidence.

i find it funny people think we're bad, yet the other couriers out there seem to be a lot worse.

i suppose if anything gets lost damaged its up to the sender/ courier service to replace it

On the plus side I had my new iphone arrive by Yodel courier the other day, it was fine.

thing is most people just assume it's royal mail. a lot of the time people don't know who's bringing their stuff, then when it turns up in next door garden we're the ones they chin lol
