I doubt it!

We are going through a revision right now and current issues are:-

1. Walks too long - this has been ignored by planners - we're not that bothered about this because many will cut off

2. Outdoor working set at 5 hours - fatigue will be a major issue

3. Toilets - Health and Saftey rep has requested that hot and cold running water must be supplied for hygene reasons - this will mean returning to the office at any time during outdoor working - RM don't want this and to be honest this doesn't need an agreement as health and safety is the responsibility of us all and so any employee can return to the office

4. Meal Relief - For full timers RM are requesting that it should be taken before leaving the office - so roughly after 2 hours indoor working but the sticking point is for part timers - RM have more or less stated that they want them to take it as soon as they start or within about 30mins of starting

Depends on what you consider to be working..
I heard that our office bullyboy was highly praised by his area manger recently as our office was `working` well didn't see all the packets left then.
But then we have a large number of cretins who come in early and run around and cut the job up.

I havn't heard of any,I know plenty of offices that have had a revision but nothing but doom and gloom from the Postmen,One key note hear,DON'T LISTEN TO MANAGERS.I would suggest working to your time and let them sort the rest out.It won't happen though I live in a different area to my D/O and see our Postman on my day off come close to running past my house yet he moans he can't get done derrrr wonder why????.

Our revision has been in place since last summer we have about 10 walks failing (out of 100+)because they are too big of course RM won't admit it and the posties are just being slow and lazy.

Our revision didn't work, walks too long and can't be completed under the new way of working especially with the use of trolleys (I do love my trolley though biggest own goal RM ever scored was giving us trolleys). Many cut off and many book 2-3 hrs OT a day to complete.

In Livingston, many of the walks are simply too long, that coupled with the many many extra packets, plus all the tracked and specials makes most of the duties simply too big to be completed in the time. To add injury to insult, there are some duties in the office that are so piss easy that they are completed usually around 12-1pm even on busy days. This unfair split of workload is simply ignored by management.

Totally agree with your trolley comment, you might be working to your time but doing less actual work

started my new duty this week.its wednesday and im fooked.
we have got a 5:30 delivery span with 20 mins break in office and 20 mins at end of delivery.
i havent worked a minutes overtime since last strike and bosses have somebody prepping my walk before i come in,also told to leave packets and have cut of everyday with 2 bags monday, 4 bags tuesday and wednesday.
now heres the funny bit,i have a frame that is as long as brighton pier and have 1 hour 55 mins from the time i come in to 1st letter in the door with 20 mins break thrown in the middle,so make that 1 hour 35 mins to prep 722 houses, sort packets,specials,tie up,load vans and drive to delivery point which they allow us 5 mins to get there,now i think not even lewis hamilton would make it.
but management are watching like a hawk,the usual,not preping and walkin fast enough.
it all comes down to one big fook up.
