changing start times

we've not yet had a van share revision in our office. our DOM wants to make saturdays later, not longer but a later start and finish. is he able to do this

we have the exact opposite position.we too have not had our van share revision.Our dom and union rep asked us to start 15 minutes earlier on a saturday so we could all get home allittle bit sooner to be with our loved ones.Sounded fantastic.then ofcoarse the next week we were told as we wanted our mail earlier ,the second run would not be sequenced.ok .waistes abit of that 15 minutes but fine.then a couple of weeks later we were told that as we donot have full sequenced mail we are not yet entitled to our £600 for meeting those objectives and targets..
AND THAT WILL NOT BE CHANGING UNTIL AFTER OUR REVISION.

not quite correct, he can do this by giving 28 days notice, but the union would then need to go through the IR framework first by registering a stage 1 disagreement and following the steps through to the end to attempt to block it, its not just a straight forward no he cant unfortunately

We all knew there would never be a change because management never wanted it (main reason is the loss of control that the board have over regional managers).

He tried to lay a guilt trip on me , just wait to the shared vans come in he'll be going nowhere. What is the national focus on start times?

No.......... not without being in contradiction of BT2010, which clearly states that later start times will be introduced in line with P & L revision, where employees will get more Saturdays off, shorter working week, bonus payments etc, etc i.e benefits for both employer and employee. Don't let them cherry pick from the agreement, stand strong to ensure you get your benefits from what was a very poor agreement for the employee anyhow...... Remember colleague share....... Promises mean nothing and don't pay the bills when they are not kept
