My office is a joke at the moment, it's only at stage 2 with the union but the manager/planners have put up maps of all the new proposed rural routes. They all seem totally unworkable and they have even got vans going on roads what arn't even there! I'm guessing royal mail tractors is the next thing????
My office is very soft and I think they are just going to try to push it in, but people are starting to get angry so I'm hoping everybody sticks together and if it is brought we will all cut off.

then the CWU reps in your office are doing the right thing by not subscribing to the planners bovine excrament (bull shite) and looking after your interests

remember that it is all mind games by management to devide and conquer and sow seeds of doubt

the staff in the office need to grow a pair also,

and as stated, not come in early, take your breaks etc and cutt off.
overtime is not compulsory
by comming in early etc it is giving a false reading on the IWT and then people moan when the office has lapsing brought inn because they still see staff still finishing early.

it is costing people jobs by not recruiting adaquate staff

you , the staff members are the union and you have an obligation to educate there collegues who do this practice

the union can only go so far and expects the back up and support of the office staff

Keith, I appreciate what you are saying about staff moaning to other staff regarding cutting corners etc. but, you have to be very careful I was taken for bulling and harassment for this very thing.

its the job and finish mentality thats to blame for all this

to many senior people stuck in there ways to change (me included) yet it will be these very people asking for my help when they get pulled into the office when the revision comes in

getting home to watch an extra 5 minutes of daytime tv cannot be that important when peoples jobs are on the line

there is bullying and there is education

managers do it all the time

I am a Rep too and totally agree but, managers get away with it, one slight opportunity to get rid of us will be taken.

Sometimes having explained to some individuals what they are doing and how it effects others in the office keeps getting ignored, there is not a lot more you can do. On numerous occasions I tell staff to follow all correct procedures and only the other day a tracked packet had been left on a door step by a leave reserve the same person who I have told before that this can get them into trouble

I have now decided that I have to accept that you can't help some people.
