I can't see any justification for Scheduled Attendance o/t in offices that are struggling to maintain full-time jobs.
A situation where a full-timer gets a guaranteed amount of overtime each week simply means the part-timer on 30 hours/week is going to stay on 30 hours/week.
Hybrid duties are a way of protecting full time jobs but they aren't a way of protecting earnings.
If you can't do both I know which option I would choose.

The situation may be different in your office.
I know a 10-6 shift may be of interest to some.

the point is they should be making up the duties to a full delivery span, pegasus is comming out at 3 hour 15 which is garbage

it is just another way of taking hours out the office

we allready have 6 hybrid jobs

If the delivery element on a hybrid duty is unachievable the collection will fail.
Hybrids cannot "flex up" and should not be planned using the lowest traffic week unless there is a contingency plan in place to deal with excess delivery.
As far as having them i'm with Clash...jobs are the priority.

I too agree with hybrid duties, though at the moment we don't have any, we have lost a number of SA collections. The problem is there are fewer and fewer people to do them because their duties don't enable them to get back on time, though some are cutting corners to be able to do them and there is an element of blind eye involved. Looked at realistically it would be possible to make some duties full time if they were hybridised.

In our office they are stand alone duties.

PT wanting to go FT is not in great demand amongst the PT in my D.O. I have one 30 hour member who wants to go FT he was FT but left for a while then came back last year on a 30 hour contract. We currently have two FT vacanies but RML are not going to move his hours up due to IWT figures and the belief they will get savings from the revision.

you have 6 hybrids so how can they have more 10 -till 6 are they going to double up on a collection sounds crazy . how many collections can a office have /????

no offence but doesn't the USO state after the revision is in town deliveries are to be no later than 3pm and rurals 4pm ... frankly if they try to push that crap into our office in the summer the planners and royal mail will be told to go to f**k!!

They are not suggesting delivering up until 6pm.

It's not about pushing anything in it's about looking at sensible options to maintain and hopefully create full-time jobs.
If the option is have a part-timer do the delivery and give the collection to a docket grabber on SA or create a proper full time hybrid job i know which one i would pick.
