AA Driving test question

Ok so i been working for royal mail for 3 weeks now and am loving it :D

I had my aa driving test for royal mail few days ago and i failed lol.

my uncle who works in the same place told me if i take the test the 2nd time and fail. Royal mail will finsh with me. he also said hes not sure bout that.

Is this true? am kinda worried

How bad is your driving to fail the assessment?

TBH if you can't even pass that then you shouldn't be on the roads.

i been driving for 5-6 years now. I am a safe driver. when i was unemployed i took kids school and everywhere. jus show u how safe i am.

I had mine 7 weeks ago after being a RM employee for over 3.5 years.

I drove my normal way, hand on gear stick, hand on steering wheel all the way round.

I passed, I was only out for around 20 mins, a quick drive around my usual walk and that was it. he advised he to park up in one different place from where I normally do but that was all he said.

mind you I do have 7.5t and 17t vehicle experience and I told him that before we went out.

However the examiner did say that he has failed people before for Clipping kerbs and not being able to revers properly and in full control.

We had one guy who failed twice. He was then sent on a driving course to get him up to standard so he was allowed to drive the vans. Hes still a crap driver though.

I've never known anyone to fail it? Thought the only way to fail was to kill some one on the test! :d'oh!

Apparently new starters have to drive so i'm guessing you can't go back to walking..................did your AA highly qualified driver tell you why you failed?

they carnt sack you for it you will just be a non driver simple

Not sure how you can fail, I just had to drive a transit for about 8 miles, reverse, e.t.c and back.

Just because you took kids everywhere dont make you a safe driver. What I see in rush hour with school runners they shouldn't even get in a car to drive. I digress. What did you fail on?? Or did the assessor have a bad day.

No longer as hard and fast as that - new contracts say "occasional driving" so although failing it a few times is probably not grounds for dismissal, if they fail retraining etc, then they may be "let go" for failing to fulfil contract.

I do agree though it is unlikely.

That is what i did but that was years ago and its changed now. Hence the guy said "AA" driving test.

I ve known people to fail the first one due to clipping the kerb on a corner. Its an easy mistake, lets give the guy a break people :roll:
