Saturday 24th December question

Will this saturday be the busiest in delivering mail out of this month or the least?
I do saturday job so i don't have a clue!

Its a toss up.

It all depends if your feeder MC has cleared.
It depends if there is a packet/card back log at your DO.
It depends if your boss is a people person or not.
It depends if the MC and DOM decide to bring forward stuff early.

Most times TBH its been a fairly quiet day, with the bosses having a bit of xmas spirit and letting you out when ready. Hoping its the same this year.

last year xmas eve was a nightmare due to the weather / snow / ice etc but every other year I have been with RM has been very easy.
but like TBT says, it all depends on your DOM.

You only have to work to your finish time and cut off the rest, that's what I'm doing :Very Happy

If you have a decent dom then they will roll any DSA and second class and get stuck into the xmas cards and packets.

If you have a knoooob they will try and clear the office :d'oh!

can't beleive it today,finished at 10 o'clock,office totally clear of all mail and packets and parcels,took me back 15 years ago,mail centre is totally clear,would expect to be home by about 9 o'clock tomorrow!!!! (we are still on job and knock)not had any kind of revision yet!!!

We have cleared xmas stuff at our place was very light today and there was a few yorks of big catalogues lined up on IPS for tomorrow :neutral:

Not bad today but some walks had a 1st class franked bulk mailing from our local council,i have about 400 council properties on my walk so i hope i don't get them tomorrow.

I think tomorrow could be quiet to finish the job off from Christmas post but Royal Mail have a nasty habit of giving you a bloody nose with the workload.

i hope its quiet, i worked on night shift, the last wave of mail was hideous, so many packets, have the mail centres really cleared out i dont know.
i hope the weather is good as well.
christmas eve used to be so quiet.
